Mercer Area Girl Scouts made new friends over the weekend as they camped out with Boy Scout Troop 83 and a group of students from Taiwan who were visiting the area with former Mercer resident Tobey Tamber. The scouts were treated to a Chinese breakfast and dinner by their new friends, and the Girl Scouts reciprocated with everyone's favorites, Thin Mints and Tag-a-longs. During the campout the kids also played games, went swimming or bowling, enjoyed evening campfires, and helped with an Eagle Scout project. It was a great weekend to be a Scout!
