Fall Fun

On Sunday, October 27 Girl Scouts from Kindergarten to 9th grade and their leaders attended the Founders Day Event. At the event they learned about Juliette Gordon Low, the founder of Girl Scouts, and created 3 crafts to celebrate and remember her. For snack they made trail mix with the “Recipe for a Girl Scout” ceremony. The girls learned about SWAPS and took 4 home with them. They also made a treasure trunk and learned that not all treasure is "silver and gold". Baskets full of donations were collected for Shenango Valley Animal Shelter and Sarah’s Butterfly Foundation. Thank you to everyone who donated.  The Flashlight Investiture Ceremony was led by the oldest scouts and their leader. Joy received her 10 year pin at the event and 3 new Girl Scout at the event that received their Daisy, Brownie, or Girl Scout pins. The event came to an end with the song Linger sung by the leaders.  Thank you to Kelsey for organizing this event!
